Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of HKSAR Establishment

with songs and dances by humans and superhumans

A story that tells how Hong Kong people work relentlessly to become superhumans…

It is a multimedia dance theatre performance in a combination of dance, theatre and video projection, etc.   Audience can observe or spy out to participate in the performance.  Joining hands with the audience, the production explores the life and psyche of Hong Kong people as the HKSAR enters its 20th anniversary. Audience's participation will become part of Room X.

The superhumans living in Room X may remind you of your friends, your family, or yourself!

You are cordially invited by Y-Space to see and take part in the performance, and become one of the superhumans in Room X!

Superman (MAO Wei)

He has an indestructible body to save the world with his super powers.  But when he is alone, he cannot help but feel lonely and detached.  His bodily wounds heal fast because of his distinguished recovery strength.  How about the wounds of his heart?  What outcome is he going to face if he fights against the power?

Goddess of Fortune (Tracy, Choi-si WONG)

The Goddess of Fortune is a deity administered money and wealth. People who handle astronomical amount of money and are generous are acclaimed as the God of Fortune by people nowadays.  However, putting her deity identity aside in her own home, is she satisfied in both the material and spiritual needs?  What should she use to fill the loneliness and emptiness in her heart? What ending is waiting for the Gooddess of Fortune?

The Killer (Janet Wing-yan WU)

The killer is born with dexterity.  She is gallant and steals from the rich to help the poor in a time of wealth disparity. Yet, operating outside of the law and covering up her identity in every mission she takes, how does she really feel?  Standing at the verge of the society, which path is she going to take in the end?

Tin Hau (Mandy Ming-yin YIM)

Tin Hau is also called Mazu.  She is the goddess of mercy and she saves those suffered and in danger.  As the guardian at the sea, is she not tired out by the countless natural and man-made disasters in the recent years?  Facing souls that she cannot save, how hard is it for her?  When she saves the lives of others, can she also save herself?
