We can decode a dance piece by looking into a few basic elements of composition, such as music, movement and spatial relationships.  These are in fact the basic tools to help audiences to appreciate dance.  This lecture and workshop series will be divided into two parts.  In part one, we will look into the creative process, venture into the mind of a choreographer and to decipher how a dance piece is being put together.  In part two, we will investigate the nature of dance through interactive activities, video viewing and discussion with choreographers.
