A marshmallow-liked Robot R is on the verge of obsolescence. He falls in love with a female roboticist and wants to create a song for her. Will it be a heart-warming sci-fi love story?
This multi-disciplinary concert is brought by DJ Kid Koala, accompanied by the Afiara Quartet, performs his original score on piano and turntable. With 40 puppets, 20 miniature sets, and cameras, the production recreates each scene from the book and portrays puppets on stage. Under the direction of production designer KK Barrett, who was the Oscar nominee, the performance is cinematically lit, filmed, and projected on screen. A combination of cinema, theatre and concert, and brand-new experience for audience not to be missed!
Premiered in 2014, Kid Koala’s Nufonia Must Fall has toured widely in different countries, including the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Chile, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Mainland China, etc. The audiences’ responses were overwhelming.
The programme contains some English with Chinese subtitles.
