Strange Feathers is an aerial dance performance.  Two birds hatch into the world, on a journey of discovery, as they hear the sounds of nature and learn how to fly.  Mixing circus, aerial dance, live music, soft colourful lighting, and soothing sensory sounds, these friendly birds explore their world of feathers.

Co-produced by Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Theatre, Riverbank Arts Centre (Ireland) and Bird & Bat (Iceland) , Strange Feathers enjoyed nationwide tours of Ireland with sold-out shows and a Nordic tour funded by the Culture Ireland.

Suitable for ages 2 and above

The running time of each performance is approximately 35 minutes without intermission.　DIY mask-making will be opened 45 minutes prior to each performance at Kwai Tsing Theatre Rehearsal Room.  Ticket holders are welcome to join.

Audience may be seated on floor and are requested to take off their shoes.  Comfortable clothing is recommended.

Children are required to be accompanied by parents or adults.  One ticket per person regardless of age.  Admission subject to age limit specified for the event.

Audience is strongly advised to arrive punctually.  Latecomers and audiences who leave during the performance will only be admitted at a suitable break.

Performers have been professionally trained to accomplish the feats performed in the shows.  Audience members are advised not to imitate their acts.

'Cheers!' Series: Strange Feathers by Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Theatre (Ireland)

Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Theatre has performed indoor, outdoor, crane, vertical dance performances and shows for young audiences in Ireland and internationally since its founding in 1998.  For the last 20 years, the company has grown and nurtured the aerial dance sector in Ireland, and created Ireland's first-ever annual aerial dance festival, which began in 2009.  It has also specialised in professional artistic development and working with communities on unique projects.  Fidget Feet is Ireland’s first contemporary aerial dance circus receiving annual funding from The Arts Council of Ireland and is continually supported by Culture Ireland.  In 2013, Fidget Feet was awarded the Arthur Guinness Project fund for Ireland's first Irish Aerial Creation Centre, which was opened in 2015.

Half-price tickets available for senior citizens aged 60 and above, people with disabilities and the minder, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients (Limited tickets for CSSA recipients available on a first come, first served basis)¹.  Half-price tickets also applicable for children aged 6 or below.  Concessionary ticket holders must produce evidence of their identity or age upon admission.

‘Cheers!’ Series Package Discount ² 

For each purchase of standard tickets for different stage shows / film programmes in the ‘Cheers!’ Series, the following concession applies:

10% off for any 2 programmes; 15 % off for any 3 programmes; 20% off for 4 or more programmes.

Group Booking Discount ³ 

For each purchase of standard tickets for stage show(s) / film programme(s) in the ‘Cheers!’ Series, the following concession applies:

10% off for 4-9 standard tickets; 15% off for 10-19 standard tickets; 20% off for 20 or more standard tickets.

Family Package Discount ⁴

20% off on standard tickets for each purchase of 2 standard tickets and 2 student concessionary tickets of the same stage show / film programme in the ‘Cheers!’ Series.

Patrons can enjoy only one of the above discount offers.

For each concessionary ticket for people with disabilities, the customer can purchase one ticket with the same concession for the minder.

The price of each discount ticket will be rounded up to the nearest dollar.
