Haunted Theatre is a mysterious plays originally written by Hong Kong awarded playwright Yu Hon Ting whom attempts to explore the anecdote and fringes of life and death.
Sue was once an actress, enabled to let go of her “past”, she is drifting between life and death. She lives in the basement of an abandoned theatre together with her brother, Ah Sai, who is on the verge of losing himself and her grandfather, who is on one hand a villain and on the other hand a loving and caring grandfather. To keep Sue not leaving the mortal world, grandfather and brother pull devilish acts and turn this worn-out and lifeless theatre into a foul spooky haunted one. Coincidentally, Sue's father returns to her after a long-time sudden absence, attempting to let Sue admit she is no longer alive. An one-night-stand girlfriend of Ah Sai, Blue, whom is suffering from losing her basic senses gradually meant to be the one who brings an upside-down influence over this haunted theatre and enlightens Sue's “life” in the end.
