Kwai Tsing Theatre
Improvement and Refurbishment Works
(23 November 2026 to early April 2027)

For enhancement of facilities and services, the Kwai Tsing Theatre is temporarily closed from 23 November 2026 to 21 March 2027 for the improvement and refurbishment works (with the works at Black Box Theatre last till early April 2027).  Jade Garden and The Alchemist Cafe are open as usual.  For enquiries, please call 2408 0128.

 

Suspension of Services at URBTIX Outlet

The URBTIX outlet and the Self-service Ticketing Kiosks (Kiosks) at the Kwai Tsing Theatre are temporarily out of service from 23 November 2026 to 21 March 2027 due to the improvement and refurbishment works at the venue.  During the service suspension period, patrons can purchase tickets at other URBTIX outlets and Kiosks.  For details of the locations and opening hours of URBTIX outlets, please visit https://www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/ticket/counter.html.  For locations of other Kiosks, please visit https://www.urbtix.hk/kiosk.  Tickets can also be purchased via the website (https://www.urbtix.hk) and the mobile ticketing app URBTIX; or via the telephone booking hotline 3166 1288 from 10am to 8pm daily.

 

Facilities Hiring Service

Booking applications for the major facilities (Auditorium and Black Box Theatre) and minor facilities in the period of improvement works are not accepted.  The Booking Office at the Kwai Tsing Theatre is in business as usual during the period with office hours from Monday to Friday, 9am-1pm and 2pm-5:45pm (except public holidays).  For enquiries, please call Booking Office at 2406 7505.

“Pilot Scheme on the Use of School Venues by Arts Groups”
(2026/27 School Year Term 2) Booking - Opens for application

Booking application for the “Pilot Scheme on the Use of School Venues by Arts Groups” (2026/27 school year Term 2) will be accepted from 15 September until 30 October 2026. Non-profit organisation may hire the school venues for rehearsals during after-school hours.
