Shaolin
Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and Chung Ying Theatre Company
Music Theatre for Families
Chinese music meets fantastical kung fu artistryThe word “Shaolin” not only represents a training ground for martial arts. As depicted in a unique genre called wuxia fiction, it also conjures up a mystical, chivalrous world of heroes doing battle against villainy. Following highly successful past co-productions, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and Chung Ying Theatre Company again team up in this innovative tale of legendary daring where Chinese music and theatre combine to let you “see” as well as “hear” the awesome story of Shaolin kung fu.
