The Sorrows of Young Yat Sum Youth actors wanted! (Application closed)
In this workshop (approx. 66 sessions), learn to use drama, movement and a cappella to develop stories about young people’s lives today. Then rehearse and perform with professional actors in The Sorrows of Young Yat Sum, exploring issues related to education, love and social relationships and gaining valuable experience of teamwork.

*Attention: Applicants must attend all the workshops, rehearsals and performances. Participants with attendance rate less than 90% in the workshops will not be allowed to take part in the finale performance.

Shortlisted applicants will be informed by telephone and email for audition.
Audition Date: 29-30.5.2015 (Fri-Sun) - Shortlisted applicants are required to prepare a performance of 2-minute-solo in your own choice of scripts.
- The audition result would be announced in early June.
- Successful applicants (hereinafter referred to as “Participants”) please send a crossed cheque of $480 (payable to ‘The Government of the HKSAR’), with the name and contact number of the participant written on the back, to the Festivals Office at Level 5, Administration Building, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong by 3 June 2015. Please specify “Participation of The Sorrows of Young Yat Sum Youth Theatre Workshop” on the envelope.
- No refund will be made for participants who drop out of the workshops.
- The presenter reserves the right to amend the programme according to the number of enrolments.
- Programmes are subject to change. Please refer to the Leisure and Cultural Services Department’s announcements as final.
- The workshop will be conducted in Cantonese.
