The running time of each performance is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes without intermission.
Founded in 1949, the Song and Dance Ensemble of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps is a provincial-level performing arts group named by the State; it is now over 50 years old. The cast comprises performers of different ethnicities including Han, Uyghur, Kazakh, Hui, Mongol, Manchu, Russian, Kyrgyz. For the past six decades, the Ensemble has performed in its motherland, dozens of countries and locations around the world. The troupe's artistic merits are highly praised by the audience wherever they perform. It has won more than 100 trophies within Xinjiang and from national contests. It is currently the largest performance troupe under the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
