Eclipse integrates choreography from the world of Broadway, tap, ballroom, jazz and Celtic dance, mixing with singing and breathtaking illusion. As a spin-off from Celtic Illusion, a well-received show co-produced by Michael Londra and Anthony Street in 2011, Eclipse is a new production incorporated with more dance styles and unexpected magic moments. A wonderful opportunity to celebrate an energetic festive season with 15 dancers from Australia!
Artistic Director Michael Londra is the lead singer in Riverdance on Broadway in 2000-01 and his co-produced television special Beyond Celtic earned two Emmy nominations. He was named 'Best Irish Tenor' at the Irish Music Awards, and was the creative director and co-producer of large-scale music and dance shows. As the choreographer and lead dancer of Eclipse, Anthony Street is the former lead dancer in Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance. Street started learning magic and Irish dancing since his young age. In 2011, he created Celtic Illusion, a fusion performance of dance and magic, which has been toured in Australia and New Zealand in the last five years to great audience acclaim.
Audiences aged 3 and above are welcome.
The running time of each performance is approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes with an intermission of 20 minutes.
Audience is strongly advised to arrive punctually. Latecomers and audiences who leave their seats during the performance will only be admitted to their own seats during the intermission or at a suitable break.
Performers have been professionally trained to accomplish the feats performed in the shows. Audience members are advised not to imitate their acts.
