In the paddy fields where the green grains grow, there live two good friends: Moly the mole, a skilful potter and Kuma the bear, who makes delicious desserts. The two live quite far away from each other. One day Moly receives a parcel from Kuma – it’s a broken plate with a note, in which Kuma asks him to help mend it and also invite him to come to his place to taste his new dessert. Kuma also has a special request, “please pick some blue fruit on the way, so I can add them to my dessert. Then we can count the stars together in my treehouse.” Moly starts working on mending the plate right away, and gets ready to go to Kuma’s place.
Moly is a scaredy mole, so he chooses to embark on the journey before sunrise. It so happens that it is the foggiest day of the year. In the heavy fog, Moly not only scares himself but is also frightened by the animals who hide in the forest at night. In panic, Moly dashes here and there among the tall trees. Voila! He finds the tall blue fruit tree. But are there actually blue fruit on the tree?
Kuma is waiting anxiously at home; the cake is already baking in the oven. But where is Moly? Would the two finally be able to taste the yummy blue fruit cake and count the stars together in the treehouse?
