‘Glowing Beauties – A Photo Exhibition on Ethnic Costumes’ embarks on a cultural discovery journey with a unique brocade, a key symbolic relic behind the Festival’s opening programme Five Stars Rising in the East. As a piece of national relic, it symbolises the unity and strength of the Chinese nation and showcases the progressive spirit of the Chinese people in pursuing ethnic harmony and unity. The exhibition brings together fascinating photos from China’s 56 ethnic groups, featuring their distinctive cultural practices, costumes and traditional ways of life.
