Michael CT Lam (Baritone)
Born and raised in Hong Kong, baritone Michael CT Lam obtained his Bachelor of Music from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts before he pursued a Master’s degree of Music in Vocal Performance at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He went to the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Hungary for further postgraduate training on the Joseph Weingarten Scholarship, completing the course in 2018.
Lam was the first prize winner in many singing competitions in local and overseas including the 2nd Hong Kong International Music Festival Competition - Vocal Division (Senior), London “Grand Prize Virtuoso” (2016), Abergavenny Eisteddfod Y Fenni - Vocal Class (2017), Ashleyan Opera Prize (2017), Rome “Grand Prize Virtuoso” (2018), as well as The North International Music Competition - Vocal Category (2018). In 2019, he was awarded the Gil Rodriguez Scholarship by Opéra de Baugé for his outstanding contribution to their Operatic Season.
Lam has performed in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Italy, France and Germany, as well as other European countries. He has sung more than 30 operatic roles including the title roles in Macbeth, Don Pasquale and Il barbiere di Siviglia, Tonio in Pagliacci, Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Escamillo in Carmen, The Four Villains in Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Forester in The Cunning Little Vixen, etc. He also created the role of Sakyamuni, the Buddha in Anna Vienna Ho’s contemporary opera Buddha and the Monkey King for Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival in 2020.
On the concert stage, Lam has performed as the concert soloists in Bach’s Magnificat in D with Village Voices of the United Kingdom, Fauré’s Requiem with Chesterfield Co-operative Choral Society, as well as with many local arts groups such as Hong Kong Oratorio Society and the Singfest Choral Academy. He also appeared in the Rugby Festival of Culture in 2019 at the invitation of the St Andrew’s Church in Rugby, the United Kingdom.
Anna Vienna Ho (Piano)
A graduate of the Hong Kong Baptist University and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the United Kingdom, Anna Vienna Ho is a versatile musician who is concert pianist, répétiteur, composer and conductor rolled into one. She has worked with the Welsh National Opera, Birmingham Opera Company, Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival and Opera Novella. She was a winner of various international competitions including the International Robert Schumann Competition, Concours International Léopold Bellan, International Moscow Music Competition, International Robert Schumann Competition Düsseldorf for Young Pianists, to name but a few. She is currently an artist of Du Vert à L' infini Festival in France and the Montpelier Arts Center Classical Recital Series in Maryland, the United States.
