The performance will run for about 1 hour and 45 minutes including a 15-minute intermission.
Audience is strongly advised to arrive punctually. Latecomers will only be admitted during the intermission or at a suitable break.

Curator: Linda Yim
Linda Yim is a member of the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble and currently teaches at the Hong Kong Baptist University and The Education University of Hong Kong. Yim graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Royal College of Music in London and Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney where she obtained Master of Music Studies degree majoring in piano.
In addition to frequent solo and recital work, Yim is also a sensitive and masterful accompanist and ensemble musician. She has performed with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong Bach Choir and Zuni Icosahedron. She has set foot on the Mainland, Taiwan, Malaysia, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Piano: Duo Ping and Ting
As the founder of the Hong Kong Piano Duo Association and Honorary Artists of the Foshan Grand Theatre, Duo Ping and Ting (Chau Lok-Ping and Chau Lok-Ting) were top prize winners of the 64th ARD International Music Competition in Munich (Germany), Dranoff International 2 Piano Competition in Miami (the USA), the 4th International Piano Duo Competition in Bialystok (Poland), the 4th International San Marino Piano Duo Competition and Grieg Á Deux International Two Piano Competition in Oslo (Norway). In addition, they were awarded the “André Hoffmann” prize for the best interpretations of new music at the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad International Music Festival in Switzerland.
The duo was invited to music festivals worldwide including the Liesborner Chamber music Festival in Germany, International Gedánsk Piano Duo Festival in Poland, Hong Kong Arts Festival, The Hong Kong Joy of Music Festival and Musicus Fest organised by Hong Kong Musicus Society. They have also performed with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and New Zurich Orchestra.
Violin: Euna Kim
Born in Seoul, Korea, Euna Kim holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Korean National University of Arts, a Diploma in Violin Performance and Chamber Music from Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln in Germany and a Konzertexamen (Doctor’s Degree) from the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Mannheim.
Following her solo debut with the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 14, Kim has also performed with the Seoul Chamber Orchestra, Seoul Academy Symphony Orchestra, and Korean Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra. Kim was invited to perform in music festivals including the Bowdoin International Music Festival (the USA), Verbier Festival (Switzerland), Gaida Contemporary Music Festival (Lithuania), Niedersachsen International Chamber Music Festival (Germany), Hong Kong Arts Festival, French May Arts Festival and Hong Kong Generation Next Arts Music Festival. Kim is currently a core member of the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble.
Violin: Sally Law
Sally Law is currently having an orchestral career with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. Her past engagements include participating in the Lucerne Festival Academy 2019, a collaboration at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center with Reeps One, world champion beatboxer; performances at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London; Buckingham Palace with Maxim Vengerov and John Wilson for HRH the Prince of Wales; and a solo concert for HRH Princess Alexandra.
Law graduated from the Royal College of Music as a Tait Trust Scholar supported by the Big Give Award. During her studies, she was supported by the Neville Wathen Scholarship, Australian Music Foundation Young Musician Award (2013) and Australia AMEB Joyce Phillips Award (2014).
Viola: Sun Yu
Born in Shanghai, Sun Yu studied at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia in Madrid, before he continued his studies in Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, where he received Master Degree of Music and Konzertexamen (Doctor’s Degree).
In 2007-09, Sun joined the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and toured throughout Europe with world-leading conductors. He served as Principal Viola at the Gerwandhausorchester Leipzig, Sinfonieorchester Basel as well as Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and was Viola Tutti in the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. He also played as guest Principal Viola at the Hamburg State Opera and Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
Sun is also an active chamber music player. He has performed in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Korea and the Mainland.
Cello: Anna Kwan
Anna Kwan received her Bachelor’s degree at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and Master of Music degree at Yale University. During her studies, she won the Stanley Knight scholarship from Yale School of Music, and scholarships from Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund as well as Oberlin Conservatory of Music. She has worked with members of the Vermeer, Emerson, Colorado and Tokyo String Quartets.
In 1992, Kwan was chosen to be the only representative from Hong Kong to attend the Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan, the United States with full scholarship. She was Principal Cello of the Asian Youth Orchestra in 1995 and a member of the Jeunesses Musicales World Youth Orchestra in 1996-97. Kwan has joined the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra since 2001.
Oboe: Michael Wilson
Michael Wilson was appointed Principal Oboe of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in 2009. Before moving to Hong Kong, he was working regularly with London-based orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra with which he toured extensively in Germany. Wilson studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London where he graduated with First Class Honours and received the Philip Jones Prize for woodwind. He was then awarded a place in the newly founded orchestra, the Southbank Sinfonia, based in London.
Since moving to Hong Kong he has been invited to play Guest Principal Oboe with orchestras such as the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra, Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
Soprano: Vivian Yau
Vivian Yau has collaborated with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta and West Edge Opera. Highlights include performing the role of Rosina in The Barber of Seville with both Aspen Opera Center and Mediterranean Opera Festival, the title role in the world première of Pierangelo Valtinoni’s Alice in Wonderland at the Hong Kong Arts Festival in 2021, and her Carnegie Hall début in Bach’s Christmas Oratorio with the Cecilia Chorus of New York in 2017.
Yau holds a Bachelor of Music degree from The Juilliard School, and a Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has been voted “My Favourite Young Music Maker” on Radio Television Hong Kong by public audience in 2011.
