IAC2024: DEMO, Elegy of the moment by La Buena Compania (Spain) The multidisciplinary theatre work tracks how various technological products have seamlessly embedded in people’s daily life. From the advent of computers to television, video games and mobile phones, it is a world where everyone is connected online yet often feel distant from one another. DEMO, Elegy of the moment blends elements of mime, mask theatre, puppetry and contemporary dance into one theatre experience. It tells the story of an ordinary family who has been navigating the technological era from the 1980s to the present. As the storyline unfolds, it prompts us to reflect on whether technology has led us to inadvertently neglect the people and things that matter most in our lives.
