Through annual subventions, the department provides funding support to five independent non-profit-making arts organisations — the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, the Hong Kong Dance Company, the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Society and the Hong Kong Arts Festival Society.
