iJam Music Workshop

 

The participants will be guided in the workshops through the use of tablets and app in a relaxed and professional manner to get the joy from music creation. Participants will make the music and songs in their own preferences and styles. The aim of the workshop is to inspire participants’ creativity through the assistance of instructors, and enable them to master the knowledge of modern music production. Participants will also enhance their self-confidence and sense of accomplishment through the showcase in each workshop. There are three different workshops suitable for various age groups.

Workshop outline:

• Understand the basic concept and methods of music production
• Learn to create music from listening
• Get familiar with the tools in Garageband
• Create and perform music in the classroom
• Learn the basic skills in digital music production
• Create a music piece by yourself (in MP3 format)
• Group projects under the guidance of the instructor
• Prepare for the finale performance as an individual or in a group (actual arrangement depends on the progress of the participants)
• Certificate will be awarded to participants with attendance rate over 80%

Suitable for of Primary 4 to 6 students

July-September Class (10 sessions, 1 hour per session)

August Class (5 sessions, 2 hours per session)

Suitable for secondary school students to 25-year-old youth

Suitable for seniors over 60
