19 January (Sunday) 3pm
Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall

Dun-dun-dun-DAH! The Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra (HKYSO) will knock at the door of fate for music aficionados with a steel-and-velvet repertoire! The HKYSO will kick off the concert with the legendary Chinese composer Shi Wanchun’s jovial Festival Overture, followed by the French Romantic composer Édouard Lalo’s “Namouna” Suite d’Orchestre No. 1. Four students from the School of Music, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, will join hands with the HKYSO to present Haydn's elegant and lively Sinfonia Concertante in B-flat major. The “Dance of Fate” will be concluded in grandeur with one of the most signature works in classical music history — Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in C minor “Fate”, leaving a profound and inspiring aftertaste.
