Arrangements for Holidays / Class Suspension / Inclement Weather
1. Classes will be suspended and postponed on the following days (gazetted general holidays are marked with *). No separate notifications will be issued.

2. Classes will be suspended and postponed when an instructor is absent due to illness or an emergency, and no substitute can be arranged by the Music Office.
3. Classes will be postponed or changed to another venue when classrooms cannot be made available by the teaching venue concerned. If a venue is suddenly closed due to an emergency, the Music Office will inform the trainees through SMS as soon as possible. The Music Office will not arrange another make-up class or refund for individual trainee who is unable to attend the scheduled makeup.
4. All on-site and online classes will be cancelled without notification if any of the following is/ has been issued by the Hong Kong Observatory(Note) anytime within the three-hour period before class:
i. Red/ Black Rainstorm Warning; or
ii. “Pre-No. 8 Special Announcement” (in general issued on the Observatory’s website 2 hours prior to the issuance of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8); or
iii. Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above.
Classes will be conducted as scheduled if the above-mentioned warning is lowered three hours before class (e.g. if the typhoon signal is lowered at 2pm, classes starting before 5pm will be cancelled while classes starting from 5pm onwards will be held as usual).
5. In the event that the Education Bureau announces a closure of all schools due to special circumstances (e.g. extreme weather or epidemic situation), individual classes may need to be suspended. Please observe the announcement on this website or contact the Music Office for the latest class arrangements.
Note: No make-up class or refund will be arranged for classes cancelled due to inclement weather. Instructors will then adjust the teaching plan accordingly.
