Bookings of Centres' Craft and Services
Booking Procedure
Advance booking by ballot
- For bookings of the Day camp and Tent Camp booking 3 months’ in advance, applicant should submit the completed e-application forms via the internet, mobile application (My SmartPLAY App) or self-service stations (3S). (e.g. application forms for camp places for the month of May should reach the Centre by 31 January)
- After the deadline for making bookings (e.g. bookings of camp places for May must be made no later than 31 January), the system will determine priority of the applications by ballot on a specified date. Staff will then allocate camp places and crafts based on this priority, while availability lasts. Those wishing to use other free facilities at the Centre, such as the barbecue site, campfire site or archery range, must make such requests after receiving the allocation for follow-up by the Centre.
- In case the number of application exceeds the quota for the same camping date, the camp places will be automatically allocated by means of ballot by the SmartPLAY system, and successful applicants will be notified by the system of payment accordingly. Successful applicants must settle the payment via the internet, mobile apps or smart self-service stations within the specified period.
- Successful applicants who are allocated with camp places and recreation crafts, if any, must settle payment via the internet, mobile apps or smart self-service stations (3S) within a specified period. Failure to do so will render the applications invalid. Accordingly, the camp places and crafts concerned will be released for public enrolment.
Booking for Camp Places Left Unfilled after the Ballot
- For camp places left unfilled after the ballot: Applicants may view and book, on a first-come-first-served basis, any camp places left unfilled after the ballot via the internet, mobile application or smart self-service station (3S) starting from the 20th day of any month, while paying the camp fees instantly by electronic means. The “Acknowledgement” should be printed as proof. For instance, applicants may view and book camp places left unfilled after the ballot in May via the internet or mobile application on 20 February.
Booking of Water Sports Facilities
- When making bookings for camp facilities, applicants may apply to hire certain types of equipment, namely recreational kayaks, pedal-driven boats, sampans and colour boats. Those wishing to hire the crafts requiring relevant certificate qualifications, such as kayaks, sailing dinghies or windsurfing boards, must make separate bookings via the SmartPLAY system and produce the certificates to the Centre staff for verification before getting afloat.
- Upon arrival at the Centre, participants may check in at the “smart self-service stations (3S)” with their HKID Cards. They must then report to the camp counsellor as in the past, who will record the participants’ attendance and follow up on the arrangements for camp activities. For those who have made bookings for the crafts not requiring relevant qualifications, such as recreation kayaks, pedal-driven boats, sampans or colour boats, they must arrive at the Centre’s office 15 minutes before the start of their booked sessions for check-in and collection of the "Equipment Collection Form".
- All campers taking part in water sports activities must be able to swim 50 meters and physically fit for such activities. Moreover, these campers should sign the Participant Declaration Form and pay for the craft hire charges as required separately. Campers under 18 years old should seek the consent of their parents/guardians and return the duly signed Parents/Guardians or persons authorised by their Parents/Guardians’ Declaration to the Centre before they participate to water sports activities.
- Telephone booking and enquiry: 2792 6810, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, except the Centre’s weekly close day on Thursday.
