The Director for Leisure and Cultural Services, Mrs Betty Fung (sixth left), leading the HKSAR Delegation to Nanchang, Jiangxi Province today (October 16) to attend the opening ceremony of the 7th National Intercity Games (NIG) and to cheer for the Hong Kong athletes taking part in the Games. The HKSAR sent a total of 217 Hong Kong athletes to compete in the 18 final-round events of the 7th NIG. The opening ceremony of the Games was held at the Nanchang International Sports Center on the night of October 16. The Director of Leisure and Cultural Services, Mrs Betty Fung (back row, sixth right), and members of the Organising Committee (OC) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Delegation to the 7th National Intercity Games (7th NIG), watched the wushu taolu and tennis competitions joined by Hong Kong athletes in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, today (October 17) and cheered for them. Mrs Fung and the OC members arrived in Nanchang yesterday to attend the opening ceremony of the 7th NIG. The picture shows Mrs Fung and the OC members with the Hong Kong wushu taolu athletes. They were joined by the Acting Deputy Director of Leisure and Cultural Services (Leisure Services), Miss Olivia Chan (third left).
