All facilities (including the service counter, SmartPLAY Self-service Stations and Car Park) of Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park Sports Centre will be temporarily closed from 1 June 2025 to the first Quarter of 2026 for a Main Media Centre of 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games (Hong Kong).

During the closure period, members of the public may use the similar facilities at Hong Kong Park Sports Centre, Hong Kong Squash Centre, Shek Tong Tsui Sports Centre, Sheung Wan Sports Centre and Smithfield Sports Centre in the same district. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

With effect from 1 June 2025, Harbour Road Sports Centre’s squash court no. 4 and no. 5 are available for hire as Activity Room. The hire charge of using squash court for other activities is $36 per hour (non-peak period) and $38 per hour (peak period). Concessionary rates are granted for persons with a disability and their minders at all times, and for senior citizens aged 60 and above and full-time students at non-peak period.

  • The minimum age for using skateboard ground and skatepark is changed from 8 to 5 . Adult supervision is recommended for children players below the age of 12.

The multi-purpose arena of Ap Lei Chau Sports Centre is temporarily closed from 2 October 2024 for refurbishment works, which are expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025.

To facilitate the refurbishment works, the changing rooms, toilets and study corner on the third floor are also temporarily closed from the same day onwards until further notice.

During the closure of the aforesaid facilities, members of the public may visit Aberdeen Sports Centre, Yue Kwong Road Sports Centre, Wong Chuk Hang Sports Centre and Stanley Sports Centre in the same district for similar facilities. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
