Characteristics: About 30 cm long. The most commonly seen dove in Hong Kong. It looks like pigeon. White-spotted black collar around the side of the neck and hindneck. White-tipped outer tail feathers are noticeable in flight. The call is a melodious ter-ku-koor. Distribution: Resident. Often seen in the countryside, urban parks and wooded areas.
