The 44 hiking routes introduced by the department are mapped out with reference to the grading of difficulty adopted by the International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (UIAA) and the information provided by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, which are divided into the following three levels by the length, gradient and grading of difficulty:
