Bertha Kum

Bertha Kum

Before furthering her studies in the United Kingdom, Bertha Kum earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). Apart from taking piano as her major instrument with distinction of LTCL performance diploma, she came under the tutelage of Wong Kin-yu in HKBU and passed grade 8 organ examination. She also learned singing and the pipa since secondary school.

Kum graduated from the Royal College of Music, London in 2019 with a master’s degree in performance science. While in London she joined the church choir of St. Luke’s, Chelsea and studied organ with Margaret Phillips. She is now serving Shing Kung Hui Kei Oi Church and Church of Shalom as an organist.


Daniel Lam

Daniel Lam

Currently a third-year student of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) majoring in organ performance, Daniel Lam started learning the piano at a tender age with Hui Kit-man and later the organ with Poon Tak, and came under the tutelage of Wong Kin-yu since he entered HKBU. Lam obtained his ATCL and LTCL diplomas in organ performance with distinction, and participated in a master class with Riyehee Hong.

Lam is an organist of Tsuen Wan Christian Central Church and an accompanist for its choirs. He appeared as a guest organist with the Collegium Musicum Hong Kong at its concert last year.


Jason Tang

Jason Tang

A fresh graduate of Ying Wa College in 2020, Jason Tang began his piano lessons as a child with Sung Man-ling and received his ATCL diploma in piano performance with distinction in 2015. In the same year he started learning the organ in school first with Carmen Wong and later with Dr. Helon Kwan, and received an ATCL diploma in organ in 2019.

Tang was one of the six participants admitted to the 52nd International Organ Festival Haarlem Young Talent Programme in 2018. In this high-level programme he had the privilege to study with world-acclaimed organ professors including Leo van Doeselaar, Lorenzo Ghelmi, Jean-Baptiste Robin, Ben van Oosten and Louis Robilliard.

Tang will be pursuing his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London majoring in organ performance in September this year under full entrance scholarship.

Free tickets will be given out, limited to two per person, on a first-come first-served basis at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre enquiries counter between 9am and 9pm starting from 19 June (Fri). Children aged 6 and above are welcome. The programme lasts approximately 40 minutes without intermission.
