Booking of Facilities in Hong Kong Velodrome

Cycling Track | Main Hall and Other Facilities

Track Pass

To ensure the safety of users and the proper use of the cycling track, all hirers and users of the cycling track must possess a track pass for the Hong Kong Velodrome issued by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD).

The following categories of persons may apply to the LCSD for a track pass:

  1. Persons who have completed the Track Cycling Training Course (Level III) organised by the LCSD or the Cycling Association of Hong Kong, China (CAHK) and passed the assessment;
  2. Persons who have passed the assessment conducted by the CAHK;
  3. Members of the Hong Kong Track/Road Cycling Teams A, B and C after 2000; and
  4. Holders of equivalent qualification(s) recognised by the CAHK.

Application Form for Track Pass under Hong Kong Velodrome

Please return the completed form and the declaration, together with a copy of the certificate(s)/document(s) in respect of the recognised qualification(s) obtained and one recent colour photograph of about 3cm x 3.5cm to the Hong Kong Velodrome for application.  Upon registration, applicants must produce their identification document (either the original or a duplicate copy) for verification.

All track users must abide by the “Conditions of Use of the Cycling Track”.

Modes of Hiring

The cycling track is available for hire in two modes, namely “exclusive use” and “shared use”.  The maximum capacity of the track is 20 cyclists per session.

I) Exclusive Use of Cycling Track

Hirers can use the cycling track alone or in company with other users during the hired session of their choice (except reserved sessions and shared-use sessions).  They are required to arrange for a track supervisor or Level II Instructor (Track Cycling) recognised by the CAHK to be present for supervision during the hired session.  All users must possess a valid track pass issued by the LCSD.

II) Shared Use of Cycling Track

Hirers may share the cycling track with other users during the shared-use sessions designated by the Velodrome.  Each shared-use session lasts for two hours.  A track supervisor will be engaged by the Velodrome.

Shared-Use Sessions of Cycling Track

Purpose: To enable track pass holders to use the track in a more flexible manner to further promote the track cycling.

    Members of the public can reserve a place through the Leisure Link computerised booking system 7 days in advance of the shared use session on a first-come-first-served basis. (Members of the public are required use their own track bike and helmet.)

Booking Methods: (Hiring charges for cycling track)

Track pass holders can book the cycling track through the following channels:
1.Booking counters at leisure venues and the District Leisure Services Offices; or
2.Internet booking or Leisure Link Self-Service Kiosks.

Remark:
To facilitate the training of the Hong Kong Cycling Team and launch of major events, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department reserves the right to reject/cancel bookings of the recreation and sports facilities in the Hong Kong Velodrome.
