Booking Arrangements

Major Facilities: Theatre/New Wing Auditorium/New Wing Exhibition Gallery

• Ordinary Booking applications are accepted not less than 3 months but not more than 7 months in advance of the month of hire.
• Ordinary Booking applications for full-length Cantonese Opera and Opera Excerpts performances are accepted not less than 3 months but not more than 12 months in advance of the month of hire.
• Late Booking applications will be considered upon closing of the Ordinary Booking period and processed collectively subject to operational feasibility and in accordance with the criteria as for the Ordinary Booking applications.
• Special Booking applications for Full-length Cantonese Opera and Opera Excerpts performances, including those for the first 14 days of the Lunar New Year for paid function, are accepted not less than 13 months and not more than 24 months in advance of the month of hire. Special Booking applications for other activities including Cantonese Operatic Songs Concerts are accepted not less than 8 months and not more than 24 months in advance of the month of hire.
• Applications from Cantonese opera organizations for a continuous booking period of not less than 5 days (including Saturday and Sunday) for 6 performances of Full-length Cantonese Opera and Opera Excerpts by local professional troupes will be accepted within 13 months prior to the month of hire. Booking application will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of the application form.

Minor Facilities: Rehearsal Room/Committee Room/New Wing Rehearsal Room/New Wing Singing Practice Room/New Wing Function Room

• Ordinary Booking applications are accepted twice a year in January and July for a maximum period of half-year 6 months in advance. This means that:

  In general, it requires two months to process the booking applications of Rehearsal Rooms / Committee Room / New Wing Rehearsal Rooms / New Wing Singing Practice Rooms / New Wing Function Room.

• Late Booking applications will be considered upon closing of the Ordinary Booking period and processed on a first-come-first-served basis.

Priority Booking Scheme for Cantonese Opera Rehearsals

• Applicable to booking of New Wing Rehearsal Room (3).
• New Wing Rehearsal Room (3) accepts bookings for Cantonese opera rehearsals and related activities only during the Ordinary Booking and Late Booking periods until 2-month before the month of hire. The applications are accepted twice a year in January and July for a maximum period of half-year 6 months in advance. Details are as follows:

• Late Booking applications for activities not related to Cantonese Opera will only be accepted 2 months or less prior to the month of hire, which will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis.
