Audio-Visual Zone

To provide one-stop Cantonese opera information retrieval, this zone is equipped with a vast multimedia database of graphic and textual resources. These include a search engine administered by LCSD venues and programme offices, hyperlinks to websites of local Cantonese opera organisations, full-length versions of the Centre’s exclusive interviews with more than 30 Cantonese opera artists and precious photographs of more than 90 Cantonese opera stars, as well as a fine selection of audio-visual excerpts of Cantonese opera programmes presented on RTHK broadcast channels. This highly concentrated wealth of resources will surely serve as an effective platform for users in search of anything relating to Cantonese opera. Patrons planning to utilise this zone may make reservations in advance by email (csocoeic1@lcsd.gov.hk / amkstcoeic@lcsd.gov.hk) or telephone (2330 5130 / 2271 0412) between 9am – 6pm, Monday to Friday. Visitors should bring their own earphones to use the facilities.
