The 4th All-China Games was held in Hefei, Anhui Province from May 16 to 26, 2010. Held every four years, the All-China Games is a national non-Olympic event featuring 34 sports. Comparable to the National Games, it draws top athletes from all over the country and enhances public interest in sports.
The HKSAR Delegation, participating in the Games for the first time, included 92 athletes and 32 officials. Hong Kong athletes competed in 19 events: Aeromodel, Billiards, Body Building, Bowling, Bridge, Chinese Chess, DanceSport, Go, Golf, Health Qigong, Life Saving, Lion Dance, Marine Modelling, Orienteering, Rock Climbing, Roller Sports, Shuttlecock, Squash and Water Skiing. Our athletes won 97 trophies, comprising 13 first-class, 43 second-class and 41 third-class medals. The Department provided secretariat support for all competition-related, administrative and logistics arrangements for the HKSAR Delegation’s participation in the Games.
