Bun Tower Climbing Team Relay and Bun Tower Climbing Ultimate Team Challenge

The Bun Tower Climbing Team Relay and Ultimate Team Challenge will be staged at the soccer pitch of Pak Tai Temple Playground, Cheung Chau from 9am to 12nn on 27 April 2025 (Sunday), with participation by those local tertiary institutions, government departments, public utilities, as well as commercial and industrial organisations being invited. The details are as follows:

(5 members per team)
  • Local tertiary institutions, government departments, public utilities, as well as commercial and industrial organisations will be invited to join.
  • There are two divisions, namely “Local tertiary institutions” and “Government departments, public utilities, commercial and industrial organisations”.
  • Participating teams will be required to receive climbing training from the Hong Kong, China Mountaineering and Climbing Union Limited on the event day.
  • The team that completes the designated mission(s) in the shortest time wins.
Bun Tower Climbing – Ultimate Team Challenge18 or above
(5 members per team)
  • The first 4 teams to finish the Bun Tower Climbing Team Relay in each division will be invited to enter the Ultimate Team Challenge.
  • The team that completes the designated mission(s) in the shortest time wins.

“2025 Bun Carnival – Bun Scrambling Competition” will be held on 5-6 May 2025 at the Soccer Pitch of Pak Tai Temple Playground, Cheung Chau.

Persons interested in participating in the competition should complete SmartPLAY user registration and identity authentication, and submit their electronic ballot applications from February 17 to 28 via the SmartPLAY website (www.smartplay.lcsd.gov.hk/home), the mobile app (My SmartPLAY) or Smart Self-service Stations. User registration at SmartPLAY is free of charge. To register as SmartPLAY users, please refer to the link. (www.smartplay.lcsd.gov.hk/website/en/user-registration/how-to-register.html).

Applicants who live, work or study at Cheung Chau will be accorded priority in the ballot.

All applicants who have completed the safety training sessions to be provided on April 6 on bun tower climbing and prevention of falls can enter the finalist selection exercise on April 13.
