Have you ever imagined that you could get in touch with the Dunhuang murals with a history of more than 1,600 years and know the stories behind them?
Jointly presented by Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Kwun Tong District Council, the "18dART Kwun Tong Community Arts Scheme" which produced by Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble, two educational matinees will be held for the public. Featuring by the professional musicians from Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble and the special guest -- Ms. LEE Mei Yin, the Visiting Research Fellow of Dunhuang Academy, who will give a talk to let the participants exploring the murals in the Dunhuang Caves. The speakers will tell the stories behind the murals and introduce the ancient musical instruments of Dunhuang. Leading by the speakers, participants will acquire much more about Chinese history, culture, art and the ancient Dunhuang after the events.
