The Hong Kong Flower Show 2018 (the Show) presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will be held in Victoria Park for ten days between March 16 and 25, 2018. The opening hours of the Show are from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. The Show features “Joy in Bloom” as its theme and Dahlia as its theme flower.
1. | The competition comprises 15 sections. No entry fee is required. | ||||||||||
2. | A quota is set for each section. Admission by first-come-first served. | ||||||||||

4. | Entrants must return the completed entry form in person (during the following office hours), by post or by fax between 20 December, 2017 (Wed) and 10 January, 2018 (Wed) to: Secretariat of Show Committee, Hong Kong Flower Show 2018, 11/F, Leisure and Cultural Services Headquarters, 1 – 3 Pai Tau Street, Sha Tin. 5. | The successful entrants will be notified in writing on 9 February 2018 (Friday). The Show Committee should not be responsible for the postage delay due to the incorrect or incomplete correspondence address provided by the applicant. |

1. | Entrants must enter the competition in appropriate classes and the Show Committee (the Committee) reserves the right to re-classify exhibits into appropriate classes without giving prior notification to the entrants. | ||||||||||
2. | Entrants are only allowed to enter one exhibit in each class unless otherwise stated. | ||||||||||
3. | Except with the prior approval of the Committee, all exhibits must be put on display throughout the show period specified in the entry form. Exhibits must be bona fide property of the entrants both at the time of entry and during the Show. | ||||||||||
4. | Exhibits with living creatures will not be accepted. | ||||||||||
5. | Entrants are not allowed to act as judges in classes which they have entered. | ||||||||||
6. | The Committee reserves the right to refuse or withdraw any entry without any explanation. | ||||||||||
7. | Entrants will be disqualified for infringement of any rules and regulations. | ||||||||||
8. | The Committee will not be liable for any loss or damage caused to exhibits and accessories* of floral art by accident or an act of God. | ||||||||||
9. | Should any exhibit wither to a state that it is no longer suitable for display, the Committee has the right to remove it from the display bench. The entrant can retrieve his/her exhibit on the dates specified in paragraph 17 below. | ||||||||||
10. | Awarding of prizes are at the absolute discretion of the judges. | ||||||||||
11. | The Hong Kong Flower Show Cups will be awarded to the best exhibit of the Open Competition Section (Sections I-VII) and the School Section (Sections XI-XII). A cup will be awarded to the best exhibit of each section. Certificates will be awarded to the winners of the respective classes. | ||||||||||
12. | A prize presentation ceremony will be held at Victoria Park during the show period. Cups will be presented at the ceremony and certificates will be sent to the winners by post after the Show. | ||||||||||

14. | All entries should be delivered to the showground at any time from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on March 13, 2018 (Tue). Entrants of Section VIII – Floral Arrangement in Western Style, Section IX – Floral Arrangement in Oriental Manner and Section X – Floral Art by School Children are required to put up their exhibits at the showground between 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on March 13, 2018 (Tue). Entrants of Section XIII - School Garden Plot Competition are required to put up their exhibits at the showground between 1:00 pm and 9:00 pm on March 12, 2018 (Mon) and from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on March 13, 2018 (Tue). Late entries will not be accepted. | ||||||||||
15. | Each entrant will be given a badge for free admission to the showground for the purposes of putting up, maintaining and retrieving his/her exhibit(s). The above arrangement is not applicable on the Judging Day (i.e. from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on March 14, 2018 (Wed)). During the show period, free admission to the showground will be limited to the time specified below:

16. | Size of pots for exhibits of Sections III-VII, XI and XII: the diameter or the longest side of a pot or a pan means the internal measurement taken as near its top as possible. Failure to comply with this rule will lead to disqualification. | ||||||||||
17. | Entrants can retrieve their exhibits in the following periods:

18. | The Committee reserves the sole and absolute right to interpret these rules, regulations and conditions; and to settle finally and determine all matters arising out of the Show. The decision of the Committee will be final. | ||||||||||
