Hong Kong Flower Show Theme Flower Wall – Ablaze with Glory

The 3D floral wall features 6 colourful bouquets of Cosmos.  The diameter of each flower ranges from 1.4 meters to the largest 2.1 meters. Each three-dimensional flower, with a diameter ranging from 1.4 meters to a maximum of 2.1 meters, is meticulously crafted by gardeners using about 1,800 to 2,000 orchids and carnations in various colours, which is an impressive display of creativity.  The layered design of the theme flower wall and the vibrant colors of the tulip sea in front create a feast for the eyes.

A Grand Journey across Europe

A journey across Europe starts when you take the first step.

What a dreamlike fantasy.  Lavenders are extensively planted in Provence, France, with the purple colour blanketing the countryside.  Next to the Trevi Fountain stands an ancient Roman warrior in splendid armour to guard the Empire’s capital.  Antique buildings with Roman columns tell tales of the glory days.  Blue white Greece-style huts exude endless romance, allowing one to enjoy tranquility and leisure.  Classical buildings and English gardens are complementary to each other, a testimony to the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature.  Gondolas take Artti Kitty and Enggie Pup to a labyrinth of crisscrossing water channels to see the beauty of Venice.  Windmills bear witness to the wisdom of the Dutch people, while wooden clogs symbolise the Dutch culture.  Visiting this plot, one will be mesmerised by a myriad of landmark landscapes of Europe.

Themed with “joyful vibrancy”, this plot features cosmos, the Show’s theme flower, and a range of flowering and foliage plants, a delight for visitors to see and feel vitality.  It is a pleasure to celebrate the upcoming 15th National Games, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, and the 9th National Special Olympic Games.  Against this backdrop, this plot showcases the event mascots “Xi Yang Yang” and “Le Rong Rong” alongside five sports-inspired crescent-shaped arts installations, all adorned with brilliantly coloured flowers, with a view to further enhancing the sporting vibe in Hong Kong.

Jockey Club Mosaiculture Display by Students - Wonders of Africa

All living things thrive in Africa, a land of vitality.  In verdant rain forests, gorillas and hippos cling to their own territories, oblivious to one another.  There are camels and ostriches seeking water sources across boundless deserts, with horned vipers curled up in a corner somewhere.  Elephants and giraffes forage for food in a leisurely manner in vast savannas, while horses freely gallop far away.  Illuminated with lightings, such animal-inspired installations of the Jockey Club Mosaiculture Display By Students made of cut flowers virtually come to life.  As darkness falls, one will marvel at the stunning beauty of nature under the starry night sky.

A supporter of the Hong Kong Flower Show since 2013, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has been the major sponsor of the Flower Show since 2014 to provide funding to students for events such as making mosaiculture displays, bringing the Flower Show to all corners of communities.

An Adventure to the Americas

Inspired by the heritage sites across the Americas, this plot is designed to create a world of fantasy for one to embark on an adventure.

Beside a mine cart stands an American cowboy watching the alpaca from afar.  The structures erected in this plot are the mysterious Maya pyramids and Red Indian totem poles, symbolising long standing ancient civilisations in the Americas.  There is also an impressively colourful hut made of cactus plants, which exudes the exotic ambience found in Central America.  Visiting this plot is just like setting foot in the Americas, allowing one to experience the unique cultural charms.

Travelling around Asia

Themed “travelling around Asia”, this plot offers a chance for visitors to explore the attractions across Asia.  The hustle and bustle in Hong Kong tells a tale about the prosperous metropolis.  One will be in awe at the grandness of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing and the superb beauty of Chinese gardens.  There stands the majestic Mount Fuji with resplendent blooms, adding a touch of great elegance.  Thanks to the wonders of nature, the Himalayas look so magnificent and splendid, holding visitors spellbound.  Taking a distant look at Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia, one will find myriads of exotic flowers and plants, highlighting its impressive biodiversity.  With a stroke of ingenuity, this plot adopts various landscaping designs with beautiful floral adornments, in a bid to showcase the glamour of Asia.

This garden plot is full of mesmerising flowers, the centre of which stands a giant decoration in the shape of a gift box.  One will be greeted with such exquisitely beautiful flowers, thereby forgetting all the troubles and worries.  As darkness falls, the gift-box shaped decoration is adorned with gentle lighting to create a romantic ambience, in which members of the public can have the profound joy of receiving gifts.

Brand Hong Kong – Dragon Flying High

The floral wall titled “Brand Hong Kong” features carnations and flaming katy, conveying the message that flowers are desperate to outshine one another amid boundless vitality on this spring day.  Looking at the sky, one will spot a dragon with colourful ribbons flying high, which witnesses the spectacular vibrancy of our city.

This garden plot is located inside Floral Marquee of Central Lawn.  With a gentle, romantic ambience created by the use of pink colour, this garden plot, full of roses and cosmos, is adorned with giant artistic installations in the shape of England teapots and cups and screens to add a touch of English charm.  Entering this plot, visitors will turn into Lilliputians, finding the giant installations in the shape of teaware intriguing and interesting.

This exhibition celebrates the resilience and vitality of cosmos flowers.

Colour-changing panels mimics the delicate, translucent petals of these flowers, a dynamic play of shadows on the ground. The arrangement of the panels is inspired by the graceful swaying of cosmos in the gentle breeze, capturing the beauty of movement.

The arching structure and the surrounding landscape invite visitors to immerse themselves in nature's beauty and the vibrant environment. Made with many small components, the installation represents that while each cosmos flower is tiny, together, they form a vibrant and powerful presence.

With the concept of time travel, visitors are invited into a space where time and space intertwine. This journey brings audience to review the various projects undertaken by CEDD over the past 20 years and in future, utilizing the idea of traversing time during the time.

Every engineering project lies a journey filled with challenges and obstacles. The "Twilight Corridor," with its interplay of light and shadow, symbolizes the struggles and uncertainties faced by CEDD colleagues. However, through innovative technology and relentless determination which can be seen via windows, CEDD colleagues are able to overcome these hardships and ablaze with the glory of engineering.

As visitors emerge from the corridor, they are invited into an open green space where a striking tree sculpture -"Verdant mirrorscape" stands and surrounded by lushes, creating a contrast with the vibrant flower wall nearby. The floor is adorned with eco-pavers featuring marine ecological habitat, showcasing CEDD's commitment to environmental sustainability on infrastructure development for Hong Kong.

Correctional Services Department – Facilitating Rehabilitation with Joyful Blossoming of Cosmos

With “Facilitating Rehabilitation with Joyful Blossoming of Cosmos” as its theme, the garden of the Correctional Services Department (CSD) this year features beautiful floral arrangements and a gorgeous landscape display made by persons in custody who have received various industrial and vocational training.  The department aims to disseminate to the public the messages of “safeguarding our country and home, leading a law-abiding and drug-free life as well as supporting offender rehabilitation”, promote community education and appeal to the public for their support for CSD’s rehabilitation work.  The perfect mix of splendid flowers in vibrant colours and the butterfly-shaped installations in our garden symbolise transformation through rehabilitation.  In the landscape display are also flower pots made of recycled glass aggregates jointly crafted by the CSD and students from schools run by the Yan Oi Tong, aiming to promote the message of environmental protection to the public, and share the joy of starting afresh, harmony and re-integration.

Through the styles and popular themes of Impressionists, the exhibit of the Development Bureau presents how urban forestry shapes our sustainable and liveable environment. Embark on the immersive adventure from the dock, stroll through the flowerbeds of meadow fields, venture into the vine-shaded path and wander on the streets with blooming flowers. The whole experience takes you to capture moments of changing light and hue of the blossoms, and treasure the warmth of the pleasant daily scenes.

The exhibit features picturesque photo spots and incorporates art, education and interactive components. While visitors can appreciate and capture the beauty of urban forest therein, the exhibit also underscores the message that people-tree harmony relies on proper tree care. It encourages everyone to care and understand about the growth and health of trees in our surroundings and to jointly conserve our urban forests.

The Drainage Services Department (DSD) showcases Hong Kong's resilience against extreme weather with vibrant Cosmos.

Let Drainy bring us to this flower exhibition, themed "Resilient City". After basking in the spring sunlight on the cloud, Drainy falls in rolling hills with raindrops.  It then flows into drainage tunnels, stormwater storage tanks, and drainage channels, reminding us the importance of " three-pronged flood prevention strategy" in the blossom ablaze and our city's resilience in facing climate challenges that resembles the robustness and resilience of Cosmos.

With urban farming gaining in popularity, this exhibition is themed “Circular Urban Garden Farm” and incorporates the concept of the circular economy to showcase an aesthetically pleasing urban garden farm design that provides fresh local produce.

The exhibition demonstrates practices of urban farming in limited spaces through different planting methods. It highlights waste minimization and resources circulation, and uses of organic compost and biochar to improve soil health, for closing the biological cycle. Other wastes like plastics, wood patterns and vehicle tyres are upcycled into products such as bird nests and bee hives that enhance urban biodiversity. All exhibits will be reused or recycled after the exhibition to avoid landfill disposal.

Thanks to the New Life Farm and Tin King Sheltered Workshop of the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association for their support; the partnership enables persons in mental recovery to contribute to this important community event, thereby fostering community engagement.

Roads and bridges connect lives, weave dreams, and carry the colourful moments of our daily life. The Highways Department's exhibition area at the 2025 Flower Show combines the elements of roads and bridges with the theme flower "Cosmos" that symbolizes vitality to present the design theme of "Connecting Life and Weaving Dreams" through three-dimensional arches and meandering garden layout. The floor, walls and entrance of the exhibition area present trivia related to the work of the Highways Department with the use of vivid work art display and graphic patterns, enabling visitors to get immersed in the flowing garden landscape and deepen their understanding of the Highways Department’s work in the aspects of roads and railways at the same time.

The “Well‧Being and Smart Homes” Garden, presented by the Housing Department, is a vibrant and harmonious creation that blends modern technologies with design elements of public housing estates to impress visitors with its witty and joyful vibes.

The entrance to the Garden is adorned with dazzling flowers and the picturesque Victoria Harbour.  Lush greenery and blossoms lining the path welcome the silhouettes of Choi Hung Estate blocks, among which stands the “HAppy Family”, symbolising neighbourhood solidarity, community connections and a sense of well-being in daily life.

The canopy draws inspiration from the “Mushroom Pavilion”, the affectionate nickname for food stalls commonly found in old public housing estates.  Do not miss the water screen projection installation in the centre of the Garden, which embodies the concept of innovation by transforming the Garden from day to night with choreographed lighting.  Every corner of the Garden is captivating and perfect for memorable photos.

Beneath the Lion Rock, public housing estates shine like constellations of stars.  A vibrant blooming flowerbed beautifully sets off the Hong Kong Housing Authority’s logo like a painting.  In pursuit of excellence, the Housing Authority will continue its efforts to enhance residents’ quality of life and let the sense of well-being flourish in the community.

Ocean Park Hong Kong - Giant Pandas Deep in the Bamboo Forest

It is a great delight for Whiskers and Friends to see the charms of nature, where there are a splendid floral sea and a forest of slender bamboos.  Deep in the bamboo forest are giant pandas.  The panda couple, Ying Ying and Le Le, are on affectionate terms, happily sharing the joy of their growing male and female twins with An An and Ke Ke.

Whiskers presents cosmos to the giant panda twins “Elder Sister” and “Little Brother” with best wishes for health and happiness.

Ocean Park Hong Kong creates vivid sculptures of giant pandas, which are complementary to the vegetations in the plot to showcase the harmonious beauty of nature, in the hope of disseminating the message of environmental preservation to the public and encouraging them to go green.

The project adopts “The Summer Palace on a Warm Spring Day” as its theme, creating a 3D landscape scroll with conspicuous Beijing features, which depicts the spring beauty of the Summer Palace.  In the background are the Western Hills, the Jade Spring Hill and Yongding River, complementary to one another in evoking a fairy-like landscape atmosphere.  The middle view mainly captures the Longevity Hill and the Tower of Buddhist Incense in full display of the elegance of the royal garden.  The foreground features the Seventeen-Arch Bridge, Bronze Ox and Kunming Lake, with the gorgeously shining lake telling the glory of the past.

By blending the floral art with principles of painting, this project presents perfectly the poetic beauty inherent in the landscape, flowers, trees and pavilions, thereby producing a 3D landscape scroll in an amazingly vivid manner.  The ground vegetation shows continuity with the inspiration from the painting, creating a romantic atmosphere of the “visitors enjoying the scenic views of the painting”.  Taking a stroll, one will feel as if seeing a painting masterpiece featuring fine rain amid the intoxicating beauty of spring days.

Bureau of Forestry and Landscaping of Guangzhou Municipality – Floral Bloom in Guangdong

The layout of our plot is based on the gardens of Xiguan style grand mansions, thereby creating a vibrantly colourful ambience.  Pinkish white and emerald green are used as the primary colours for the plot, a great delight to us all.  Taking a stroll, visitors will be impressed by the different spots for taking photos throughout the plot, which is not only lushly vegetated and but also adorned with Cantonese style ornaments and rockeries.  Meanwhile, thanks to the lighting effect and the Cantonese song of “Miss Sai Kwan”, visitors can immerse in a spectacular visual and audio experience that displays the charms of the “Pearl of the Cantonese Culture”.

Adorned with cosmos and other Chinese flowers, this display adopts Hangzhou, the capital of the Song Dynasty, as its theme, employing ingenuity to highlight the classical charm of the Song Dynasty period’s architecture, with the great help of the lighting technology, three-dimensional carving and floral artistry.  An air of elegance associated with “the residences of Qiantang” was thus created, displaying the profound beauty of the Song Dynasty.  The bricks, tiles, trees and flowers in the plot can, without exception, reveal our boundless fascination with the traditional culture.

On selection of materials, garden recyclables and renewable resources have been extensively used in the plot to underscore the traditional spirit of “unity between nature and men”, while demonstrating the respect of and determination to conserve nature.  Enjoying the scenic beauty, visitors can wish each and every one of them success in pursuing harmonious coexistence between men and nature.

Municipal Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region - Macao Garden

Renowned for a convergence of Chinese and Western cultures, Macao has long been an important maritime trading port since the 16th century, integral to the Maritime Silk Road.  The Macao Special Administrative Region has, in recent years, positioned itself as “One Centre, One Platform and One Base” in long-term development, in a bid to create a base for exchange and cooperation which embraces diverse cultures by following the traditions of Chinese culture.

This garden is themed around the integration of Chinese and Western cultures, with the pavement patterns of Senado Square and a Chinese-style lotus flower bed as a water feature in its centre.  Adorned by the installations in the shape of western arcades and local landmark attractions and by those with Chinese culture elements, it can vividly underscore Macao’s role as a place where different cultures encounter.

We symbolise the winding course of Shenzhen River with curves in our plot, conveying the scenic beauty of looking far afield from the Hetao Zone to Lok Ma Chau.  Adorned by water features, the undulating soft landscaping displays the charm of an urban ecosystem featuring Shenzhen’s clear water, blue sky and green spaces.  Besides, the design of the art pavilion in the plot is inspired by the mating black-faced spoonbills, with its appearance reminiscent of their flying feathers, to embody Shenzhen’s dedication to nature and ecological conservation, as well as the great care to those individuals, plants and animals inhibiting the city.  Taking a stroll in the plot, one will be impressed by the seamless blending of the pavilion with the water features, which underscores the interdependence between mountains and the sea, and the importance of the harmonious coexistence between men and nature.

Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin - A Dance by People of Hengqin and Macao

With the symbolic meaning of the theme flower Cosmos, this plot perfectly blends floral display with creative art wall designs and modern interactive technologies, conveying the main themes of passion, freedom and openness.  By doing so, Hengqin can showcase its charms as an ecologically harmonious, hospitable and technologically innovative zone, expressing its vision for robust development under the motto of “Macao and Hengqin will take you further”.  Adorned with Portuguese-style art decorations and azulejos, the design of the plot features the twin lotus symbolising Macao and Hengqin, as testimony to the unity of the two places.
