Introduction:
The 12th National Games of the Peopleˇ¦s Republic of China (12th National Games) is organised by the General Administration of Sport of China and undertaken by the Peopleˇ¦s Government of Liaoning Province. Held every four years, the National Games is the biggest multi-sport event of the highest level in our country. Elite athletes of 39 delegations from different provinces and cities, autonomous regions and municipalities of China, and the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions will gather in Liaoning Province to compete in the 12th National Games.

Events:
There are a total of 31 main events in the 12th National Games, namely swimming (diving, water polo and synchronised swimming), archery, athletics, badminton, baseball, basketball, boxing, canoeing (kayak slalom), cycling, equestrian, fencing, football, gymnastics (artistic gymnastics and trampoline), handball, hockey, judo, modern pentathlon, rowing, sailing (windsurfing), shooting, softball, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, triathlon, volleyball (beach volleyball), weightlifting, international wrestling, wushu (taolu and sanda), and the newly introduced golf and rugby events. While winter events are not included in the 12th National Games, the results achieved by individual delegations in the 12th National Winter Games held in 2012 will be counted in the medal tally of the 12th National Games.
