To publicise the HKSAR Delegation's participation in the 12th National Games, call on the community to give their full support to the delegation and boost the morale of our athletes, the Organising Committee of the HKSAR Delegation (OC) staged the Flag Presentation Ceremony of the HKSAR Delegation to the 12th National Games on 8 August 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Government House. The Ceremony was officiated by the Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung and attended by the following guests: the Secretary for Home Affairs and Head of the HKSAR Delegation, Mr Tsang Tak-sing; the President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, and Chairman of the OC, Mr Timothy Fok; the Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs and Honorary Adviser of the HKSAR Delegation, Mr Raymond Young; the Director of Leisure and Cultural Services and Deputy Head of the HKSAR Delegation, Mrs Betty Fung; and the Vice Chairman of the OC and Chairman of the Executive Committee, Professor Frank Fu.
Highlights
The HKSAR Delegation scored seven medals at the 12th National Games, including one gold, three silvers and three bronzes. The HKSAR Government hosted a Welcome Home Ceremony on 25 September 2013 at 7:00 pm at the International Commerce Centre Sky 100 Hong Kong Observation Deck to celebrate the delegation's triumphant return. The Ceremony was officiated by the Secretary for Home Affairs and Head of the HKSAR Delegation, Mr Tsang Tak-sing and attended by the President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, and the Chairman of the OC, Mr Timothy Fok; the Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs and the Honorary Adviser of the HKSAR Delegation, Mr Raymond Young; the Director of Leisure and Cultural Services and Deputy Head of the HKSAR Delegation, Mrs Betty Fung; and the Vice Chairman of the OC and the Chairman of the Executive Committee, Professor Frank Fu. The attended guests presented commendation certificates to the athletes who achieved outstanding results at the Games.
