The LCSD provides an annual subvention to the Hong Kong Arts Festival Society. Held every year in February and March, this is one of Asia’s premier international arts festivals. The 2012 event comprised 170 ticketed performances which attracted about 149 500 people, of whom about 19 100 attended under the auspices of the Young Friends of the Festival Scheme.
