The 12 500-seat Hong Kong Coliseum and the 3 500-seat Queen Elizabeth Stadium are two of the largest and most popular multi-purpose indoor stadia in Hong Kong. With flexible stage and seating configurations, both are premier venues for pop concerts, international sporting events and tournaments, spectacular entertainment, celebrations and ceremonial functions.
Famous overseas singers who performed at the coliseum during the year included Jeff Chang, Jam Hsiao, Tiger Huang, Richie Jen, Show Lo, Crowd Lu, Mayday and Jolin Tsai from Taiwan, Dao Lang from the Mainland, Fish Leong from Malaysia and Hanjin Tan from Singapore. Local artists included Jackie Cheung, Mimi Choo, G.E.M., Andy Hui, Jade Kwan, Susanna Kwan, Aaron Kwok, Leo Ku, Leon Lai, George Lam, Raymond Lam, Sandy Lam, Hacken Lee with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Edmond Leung, MR, William So, Swing, Kay Tse, Lisa Wang and Adam Cheng with Kitaro, Chris Wong and Ivana Wong.
Other highlights included the Summer Pop Live in Hong Kong 2011, Concert YY, and stand-up comedy shows by Jan Lamb, Sandy Lamb with Lawrence Cheng and Cho Lam Wong with Johnson Lee and Louis Yuen which were all well received.
International sporting events and tournaments included: the 2011 FIVB World Grand Prix-Hong Kong; Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships 2011 (part of the BWF World Superseries); 6th Cheerleading World Championships 2011; Luminous Dragon Dance and Lion Dance Championships 2012; and the 55th Festival of Sport.

During the year, a total of 53 events attracted 1 469 389 spectators.
Major sporting events at this venue during the year included: the Festival of Sports - Powerlifting Championship; 2011 Hong Kong Open International Dancesport Championships; Hong Kong International Open Dancesport Championships; World Challenge Dancesport Championship 2011; Hong Kong Gymnastics for All Festival 2011; Hong Kong Gymnastics Festival for the Elderly 2011; 2011 Hong Kong Bodybuilding Championships cum South China Invitational Championships & HK-GZ Bodybuilding Championships; Hong Kong Junior & Cadet Open; and the International Kung Fu & Special Weapons Form Championship.
Cultural events included: the Symphonic Concert in Celebration of the 14th Anniversary of the Establishment of HKSAR; Hong Kong Youth Music Interflow-Symphonic Band Contest; Hong Kong Marching Band Contest 2011; and the International a cappella Festival - 2012 International a cappella Extravaganza.
Entertainment events included: the Bar City Happy 2012, Cheng Kok Kong 40th Anniversary Concert, Teresa Cheung in Concert and the Mika Singh Live in Concert. Dramas included: Shrimp Crazy Family, Zhong Nuis’ Antidote and Love Master; and stand-up comedy, Cho Lam Show Off Show II.
