Tuen Mun Siu Lun Sports Centre: The first sports centre in the district with a children’s playroom

Tuen Mun Siu Lun Sports Centre, which is located at 19 Siu Lun Street, Tun Mun, is the fifth indoor sports centre of the district and its facilities have gradually been put to use since November last year.  The sports centre is close to many housing estates and is within walking distance for the residents.  Located right next to the Sam Shing Station of the Light Rail, it is easily accessible by public transport.  The sports centre synergises with many surrounding facilities such as Siu Lun Sports Ground and Tsing Sin Playground to provide more leisure and activities space for the public.

To cope with the growing population and demand for recreational and sports facilities in the district, the new sports centre has provided an additional sports venue for residents of different ages, including the district’s first children’s playroom designed especially for children.  The playroom is space-themed and has space bases, spaceships and a variety of recreational facilities such as rope nets and slides, aiming to create physical and sensory challenges for children.

Apart from the children’s playroom

Apart from the children’s playroom, the sports centre also has a multi-purpose arena that can be converted into two basketball courts, two volleyball courts, or eight badminton courts for public hire.  It is also suitable for use as a training or competition venue by schools or other organisations as it can accommodate an audience of up to 500 at the same time.  The second floor of the sports centre has an outdoor sport climbing wall and an indoor sport climbing wall for warm-up purpose.  There is also a fitness room, a table tennis room and three multi-purpose activity rooms.  The new and diverse equipment is suitable for active and sporty people like you.
