During Chinese New Year, many people visit Che Kung Temple in Shatin for worshipping and spinning wind spinners there to seek good fortune. A distinctive feature of the Temple, wind spinners are also toys bringing nostalgic childhood fun. Wind spinners will turn in the breeze, symbolising vitality and dynamism. The design elements of the play space mainly include images of rotating circular shapes, which are adopted as the floor mat pattern at the play space.
The treehouse-themed play space features adventure play towers with small wind spinners, showcasing local features, while providing appeal to users. The two play towers of different heights are linked by a bridge, where children can go up the towers for fun. In addition, the play towers are also connected to a play-hill for young children, where various sliding and climbing facilities are available for children of different ages and abilities to have great fun.
The Inclusive and Motion Play Zone features equipment suitable for use by multiple persons, thereby enhancing socialising among children, while promoting parent-child relations. |
