 | Introduction of the playground |
| The design theme of the Garden echoes the venue name “Fung Cheung” (literally “the Soaring Phoenix”), meaning a phoenix with its wings stretched ready for zooming into the universe, in creation of a play space with locally distinctive features.
HK Timberbank, a locally-based arts social enterprise, designed bird-shaped wooden seats with the recycled use of felled tree logs. Disposed timber was upcycled into distinctive seats in the Playground by gaining a second life with the power of art, through which members of the public can be educated on such concepts as environmental protection and resource recycling. |
