Facilities and Projects

LCSD works closely with District Councils to provide leisure and cultural facilities that best meet the needs of the local community. Since the department's establishment in 2000, a total of over 120 projects have been completed, at a total cost of approximately $25 billion. New facilities are mainly provided through capital works projects each costing above $30 million. LCSD also carries out minor works projects to improve existing facilities.
