Urban Ticketing System (URBTIX)

URBTIX is one of the most widely-used ticketing systems in Hong Kong. It serves 45 regular performance venue facilities with a combined seating capacity of more than 100 000. Of the around 40 URBTIX outlets, 15 are located in LCSD venues.

URBTIX offers convenient and reliable ticketing services for event presenters and the public. Apart from counter booking at a wide network of outlets available throughout the territory, telephone and 24-hour internet and mobile app booking services are also provided for the convenience of customers.

An upgrade of the URBTIX system was completed during the year. The upgraded system includes a new mobile ticketing app My URBTIX for Android and iOS devices, which allows patrons to browse and bookmark their favourite events, pick their seats and pay online for ticket purchases. Registered members can also enjoy additional personalised services, such as email reminders about attending purchased events and email promotional information based on their favourite event categories.

In 2014-15, URBTIX sold 4.52 million tickets for more than 8 500 performances. Sales totalled $965 million.
