Through annual subventions, the department provides funding support to five independent non-profit-making arts organisations, namely, the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Hong Kong Dance Company, Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Hong Kong Philharmonic Society and Hong Kong Arts Festival Society.
