The Sha Tin Town Hall is a convenient and well-equipped performance venue with integrated facilities, providing people with opportunities to enjoy culture and the arts, and has become a cultural landmark in the New Territories East. Whether it's for dance, drama, music activities, exhibitions, or conferences, the Town Hall offers a complete range of performance and exhibition facilities. It comprises three major facilities: a 1372-seat Auditorium, a 300-seat Cultural Activities Hall, a 378m² Exhibition Gallery, and other minor and ancillary facilities. Since its opening in January 1987, the Town Hall has symbolized the department's commitment to the arts, its support for local arts and culture, and its dedication to enriching the community's cultural experience. The Town Hall has also worked closely with venue partners, arts groups, as well as local and overseas artists, presenting a wide array of cultural programs and establishing a reputation for program diversity.
