Sha Tin Town Hall Notice

 

Sha Tin Town Hall Improvement and Refurbishment Works
(from 18 August 2025 onwards)

For enhancement of the cultural facilities and services for our venue users, the major facilities and part of the minor facilities of the Sha Tin Town Hall will be temporarily closed from 18 August 2025 onwards for improvement and refurbishment works.  Details are as follows:

Facilities	Closure Period
Auditorium	18 August 2025 – 14 February 2026
Cultural Activities Hall	18 August – 19 December 2025
Exhibition Gallery	18 August – 19 December 2025 (except Sundays and Public Holidays)
Dance Studio, Conference Room and Lecture Rooms	18 August – 30 November 2025

During the aforesaid closure period, other venue facilities will remain open as usual, and the Exhibition Gallery will remain open on all Sundays and Public Holidays.  For enquiries, please contact the booking office at 2694 2550 during office hours (Monday to Friday (except public holidays): 9am – 1pm and 2pm – 5:45pm) or the duty staff at 2694 2509 during the opening hours of the Sha Tin Town Hall.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is inviting quotations/ tenders with details as follows.

(1) Quotation for the Grant of Licence to Operate the Business at the Foyer Coffee Corner of the Sha Tin Town Hall for a period of 36 months from 21 July 2025 to 20 July 2028

Booking application for the “Pilot Scheme on the Use of School Venues by Arts Groups” (2025/26 school year Term 1) will be accepted from 15 April until 30 May 2025. Arts groups may hire the school venues for rehearsals during after-school hours.
