Design Synopsis of Minute Emotions

Minute EmotionsSolidity and Emptiness

It is intended as a manifestation of untouchable empty space, generating a familiar yet strange image. We explore the concept of empty and solid space by first chiseling out a variety of shapes on a woodblock, thus creating negative space. Then fill the space, allowing the negative space in the wood to re-emerge as a solid.

Afterall, we choose a slow, time-consuming approach to our artwork by making metal lattice as weaving of silk threads, to construct fragile yet powerful strength. Moreover, it deconstructs the boundary between inside and outside- the way of poetic and introvert expression. It allows the light to penetrate and interact with the artworks, thereafter, fascinating shadows would be created.

Void and Being

Minute Emotions implies a large empty space, which carries the spirituality, transformation and multi- interpretations of endless time and infinite space, being and nothingness.

Still and Moving

The seemingly conflicting artwork is allowed to clash and generate unlimited new feasibilities. By creating a still and silent atmosphere of physical poetry to reveal our speedy world, we try to ask the audience to sense the Minute Emotions in daily life.
