The Hong Kong Youth Music Camp is a major annual summer activity organised by the Music Office. About five hundred budding musicians aged between 9 and 25 will receive intensive music training in a summer camp environment. The 2004 Hong Kong Youth Music Camp will be held in Tso Kung Tam Outdoor Recreation Centre.

Young musicians of the Youth Chinese Orchestra, Junior String Orchestra, Children's Choir, Children's Band, Youth Symphony Orchestra, Youth Band and Children's Chinese Orchestra will be led under the batons of renowned musicians Zhang Shiye (Jinan), Peter Wilson (USA), Dr Barbara Tagg (USA), Eric Banks (UK) and Wong On-yuen (Hong Kong). The two concerts will be the climax and conclusion of the Music Camp.
