Pink Powder Puff is native to South America, and is widely cultivated in local gardens. Common Hedge Blue is one of the commonest small butterflies. Larvae of Common Hedge Blue feeds on more than 10 different host plants, one of which is Pink Powder Puff. Therefore, Common Hedge Blue is often seen flying near the Pink Powder Puff. If Pink Powder Puff is inspected carefully, you may be able to see small white dots on the young leaves. They are probably eggs of Common Hedge Blue. In searching the leaves with bite marks and the leaves nearby, you may be able to see the larvae which have excellent camouflage and not easy to be noticed.
